"Where Every Child Is A Star!"
If my child misses class(es) due to being sick or being out of town-is my tuition discounted?
We are flexible and know that kids will not be able to be at every rehearsal. When your child misses however, there is no discount for tuition. It is actually more work on us and the other children in the class when your child misses.
FOUNDATION CONTAINERS - If you have any of the foundation containers from previous shows, please bring them in. We can clean them or you can bring them in clean.
Snack Food - Bring Snack food in a ziplock bag to prevent bugs. Even if your child’s snack or lunch is already in a sealed bag, dump it into a ziplock bag so that if they don’t eat it all, they can close it back up and come back to it later. Nothing Greasy, or cheesy or chocolate. No jelly, or anything that can drip or be messy because of costumes. Animal crackers are good, other crackers. Chips tend to be greasy so avoid sending these.
Give your child a water bottle with their name on it to drink. They can refill it at the water fountain.
Please feed your child a substantial meal before bringing them to the theater. No sodas, they might burp on stage. Clear liquids. Water is best because its not sugary so won’t attract bugs.

Backstage Etiquette - Students may not go out into the audience during intermission. Every student will have a tub with their name on it backstage to put all their stuff in. Students may not bring handheld games. Students are only allowed to get in their own tubs, not anyone else’s. If kids want to buy something from the concession stand, they must do it before they get into costume, cost is $1 each. Kids must be quiet backstage.
They can bring an activity to do while waiting, something that doesn’t have to spread out over the floor.

Kids Volunteering - Kids that are not performing can check with Annie about other things they can help out with; tickets sales, concessions, costume changes. Kids that have not talked with Annie and received an assignment will not be permitted to be backstage.
Important Notes - Except for the first and last 5-10 minutes of class, we strive to keep the front door locked. Please knock. We have a parent volunteer that stays in the lobby and opens the door for parents and students.

Breitling Youth Theater has limited scholarships available to reduce tuition. Please email the Director (Annie) for a Scholarship Application.
